Feige has made Disney more money off Marvel IP than the publishing division ever has or will. The sooner Marvel Comics is really and truly vertically integrated with Marvel Studios and under Feige's leadership, the better off it and Marvel fans will be.
When agitated, Perlmutter threatens employees and colleagues with the IDF-issued pistol he keeps strapped to his ankle. He's a lunatic.Forget Perlmutter, his name always comes up in this and he is irrelevant to this discussion. He looks after the whole of Marvel outside of the movies, he is not worried about editorial concerns. He just happened to have a voice on the old committee that gave notes in the early MCU days alongside people like Bendis. He’s a businessman, not a creative type. He is also a bloody good businessman that doesn’t deserve the ridiculous scorn poured on him by fans.
He's also close friends with Donald Trump. That alone says everything that needs to be said about the man.
If only.If it wasn’t for him WB would probably own Marvel by now.
Aw yes, truly Christ in the hat, who is already managing a movie universe, would do wonders also working on an entirely different medium that produces nearly a thousand periodicals a year, somehow.
I don't blind date I make the direct market vibrate
Johns needs a hat to contain his galaxy brain.
Feige needs a hat cuz bad genetics.
"Cable was right!"
Brevoort's hair is beautiful, so that hat is actually a crown that he will pass on to Lowe when he retires after losing to him in the 2064 editorial blood match.
I don't blind date I make the direct market vibrate
Like I said, this has nothing whatsoever to do with him. Even if he is a maniac, which seems highly unlikely and not verifiable here. He isn’t an editor, he is very unlikely to care one bit what the writers do on X-Men books. He was probably on the MCU committee to make suggestions about what is or isn’t marketable as merchandise or licensing deals because he knows Marvel toys and brand value more than he knows story writing.

My primary reason is because he bent over backwards to try to erase Polaris from the Magnus family (including having an HoM portrait redrawn to remove her), replace her dynamic with the twins using other characters, and made convoluted excuses for why Lorna "couldn't" be Magneto's daughter but Siryn could somehow be Banshee's. Also a problem that he's been behind terrible events like Secret Empire, or other things that disregarded Lorna's place in things like Axis and her history with Genosha.
I think I've actually been pretty docile in my complaints concerning him, too.
I can also be reached on BlueSky and Tumblr. Avatar by kahlart.

I don't know anything about the man personally, and I'm sure he may be enjoyable to work for, but the damage done under his watch to the X-Line (the "Cyclops is Hitler" claim, the outright admittance that the company isn't pushing the X-Men due to the lack of movie rights [which created the CompleX], etc.) has done to endear me to him professionally. Some of that may have come from higher up, but a good portion undoubtedly came from or was endorsed by him.
So, yeah, not a fan.
What can I say but, "I love comics."
