If you take measures to protect them I'd imagine they can be read indefinitely.
But, for the purpose of the thread I assumed they were just kept reasonably safe (dry, not in sleeves, but not in an area they would be routinely damaged), and may possibly be loaned out or reread, and guessed about 20 years.

Imagine if comics publishers could chemically treat books so they dissolve in 2-5 years, just in time for the latest reboot retcon!
Are we talking the old newsprint ones? Cause most are degrading no mater how they are protected (and tho oldest are being kept in a non readable state to preserve them)
Or the new more synthetic ones? Cause there is a huge difference.
As well as the change in cover stock which helps protect them.

What I can imagine from the top of my head is I can imagine the pages becoming dry and "crispy" over the years and become unreadable...
