    Could that apply to the Thing though as well? Although Ben despite his appearance seems to be mostly a level-headed guy. Sure in his earlier appearances he was a big angry, even talked a bit like the Hulk at times ("Bah!") but once Stan and Jack created the Hulk, it seemed all that kind of faded away.

    Absolutely this. A character who in canon demonstrates multiple manifestations of their personality/power set is always going to be hard to put in one box.

    Hulk has absolutely been a super hero in the past and he's been just a rampaging monster, he's also been several shades in between.

    It's really funny how all of the heroes changed from their 60's selves.

    what about calling him a doctor or professor when he has absolutely never seen the inside of a college? as his green alter ego has he ever studied for any formal education degree? Lol
