Debuts either in Birds of Prey after credits or Suicide squad 2 (theme music: Poison Ivy by The Cramps)

Powers and abilities : control of plants, spits venom. Costume is made of vines she uses to strangle/bind her enemies. Can break off tranquiliser thorns from her body and throw them.

Blossoming (literally)Same-sex relationship in Harley spin-off : (Margot Robbie's OK with this) Montage featuring a sweet female cover of The Police's "every little thing she does is magic" as Harley warms her once cold heart. Surrounding Plant life is affected more and more as her feelings grow.

THE KISS : Ivy comes back into Harley's life after a falling out and saves her. A slower, louder and more joyful reprise of the above song occurs climaxing as the two embrace. Dead trees near them spring to life and explode with fluorescent blossoms that rain down on the couple as they kiss....

well there's still that Harley and Joker movie that was in development a while back, no telling what stage it's at now but that would be a good movie to introduce Ivy. there's also Ayer's Gotham City Sirens which isn't connected to BoP

Would the filmmakers want to put the Harley/Ivy relationship in the movie in the first place? It is a kinda controversial film topic and not exactly a well-known aspect of either character?

Can you think of other actresses for the role? The relationship would certainly make it different from other superhero flicks. Do you have your own vision of the relationship and when and how they should kiss?

Suicide squad 2 could feature it I suppose, Ivy is apparently killed during the mission and Harley goes back to prison. This time a super bontanically charged Ivy breaks her out : "RED!" exclaims an overwhelmed Harley.
Ivy : "let's go home". They kiss . Cue SS2 end titles...
