Default Your Top 5 DC Animated Movies

What are your Top 5 (or 7) DC animated movies?

I'll be honest, I haven't seen most yet. I'm also a Superman fan first lol. But I want to know which are the most popular DC movies here to seek for some more.

    My list so far:

    1. The Death of Superman/Reign of the Supermen
    2. All Star Superman
    3. Superman: Doomsday

I watched JL: A New Frontier, but I didn't love it. It was ok not great to me.

I need to watch some of these films. I was waiting for them to make some of my favorites like The Long Halloween or Kingdom Come. Guess it'll be awhile.

Here's a link to a list of the DC Comics animated films:

    1. Batman. Under the redhood
    2. Superman/batman public enemies
    3. Superman/batman apocalypse
4 . The death of superman
    5. Reign on supermen

In order from most favorite to slightly less favorite but still favorite:

    1. The Dark Knight Returns
    2. Batman: Under the Red Hood
    3. Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox
    4. Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths

Number five is a tie so:

5a. Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker
5b. JLA Adventures: Trapped in Time

I'm still very disappointed we never got that sequel to JLA Adventures. Sadly despite my love for Superman and Wonder Woman, none of their movies make this list, but maybe future movies will change that.

    Honorable mentions (including another tie):
    1a. Batman: Year One
    1b. Batman: Gotham by Gaslight
    2. Batman Ninja
    3. The LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes series of movies (all are fun, but favorites in this series are Attack of the Legion of Doom, Cosmic Clash, and The Flash)
    4. The Batman Unlimited trilogy
    5. Justice League: Gods and Monsters

Honorable honorable mention (because it's less a superhero film than a Scooby Doo movie)
    1. Scooby Doo and Batman: The Brave and the Bold

Movies I'm looking forward to (in order of most excited to slightly less excited but still excited):
    1. Batman vs the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
    2. Lego Batman: Family Matters
    3. Batman Hush
    4. Wonder Woman: Bloodlines (I have nothing to base this on, just excited to be getting another WW film)

Which is pretty much all the movies I know are coming out this year. There are rumors for Superman: Red Son and Batman: The Long Halloween next year though, which is very, very exciting if they get them right.

    Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox
    The Dark Knight Returns 1 & 2
    Batman: Mask of the Phantasm
    Superman Batman: Public Enemies
    Green Lantern: First Flight

If the three part crossover World's Finest counts as a movie, then that would be my fourth.

Seen a few of the animated movies. My favorites are Justice League vs. the Fatal Five (Jessica Cruz is my favorite DC character and it was great seeing her in her first relatively high-profile animation appearance to date, with a fun story featuring classic and lesser-known characters), The Lego Batman Movie (a little bit like DC's version of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse), and Return of the Joker (maybe mostly for the flashback of Batman and Joker's final fight, but it was a really interesting story and a good showcase of why Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill are iconic as this pair of enemies).
Doctor Strange: "You are the right person to replace Logan."
X-23: "I know there are people who disapprove... Guys on the Internet mainly."

    1. Justice League: The New Frontier
    2. Justice League: Gods and Monsters
    3. Batman: Assault on Arkham
    4. Superman Unbound
    5. Batman: Under the Red Hood

I can't believe New Frontier is so early in the series. It's only the second movie! But it's still my favorite. Maybe it's because Darwin Cooke worked on it, maybe it's because it's my favorite Hal Jordan origin, maybe it's because J'onn has such a big role. Maybe it's just that the animation and the cast are tremendous. It's my favorite animated DC movie no matter how you slice it!

Honorable mention goes to the Dark Knight films and to the Death and Return. There's a whole lot of movies that I didn't use that are really good, too.

Assuming this is just the Direct-To-Video ones and not stuff like Mask of the Phantasm, mine would go:

    1. Batman: Year One
    2. Batman: Under the Hood
    3. Justice League: The New Fontier
    4. Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths
    5. Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay

I wish they'd go back to making adaptations of the books and not twisting the stories to try and shoe horn them into a shared movie universe.
Last Read: Aquaman & The Flash: Voidsong

Monthly Pull List: Alan Scott: The Green Lantern, Birds of Prey, Daredevil, Geiger, Green Arrow, Justice Ducks, Justice Society of America, Negaduck, Nightwing, Phantom Road, Shazam!, Suicide Squad: Dream Team, Thundercats, Titans
