This should be fun, but I was kind of hoping for a bunch of one shots with those creative teams. One page is not much space to carry any kind of narrative. They asked Bendis, but he said he would take ten pages to tell a one page story lol!
I'm not a fan of Ross' work to start but...that cover is really, really meh! for an anniversary issue.
And four X-Men is two X-Men too many...especially as he's omitted quite a few other Marvel notables.
Well, this was a surge of promotion for a rather unremarkable sounding product. One-Pagers are difficult, they tend to feel rather minimal or alternatively they have way too much jammed into the page.
Continuity, even in a "shared" comics universe is often insignificant if not largely detrimental to the quality of a comic.
Immortal X-Men - Once & Future- X-Cellent - X-Men: Red
Nobody cares about what you don't like, they barely care about what you do like.
Seems a bit odd that there's no Fantastic Four representation on the cover. They're the book/team that brought the Marvel Age into being. A good portion of early Marvel continuity comes from FF.
Marvel Pull - Fantastic Four, The Immortal Hulk
DC Pull - The Green Lantern, Goddess Mode
Indie Pull - The Wrong Earth, High Heaven
