Jean Grey/Madelyne Pryor are the first.
Mystique is next.
Frankie Raye is impossible to forget.
Red Sonja after that.
Then Black Widow...although her hair color wasn't originally red.
And Firestar comes to mind.

I know when she debuted in Iron Man she had black hair, but I think it's been pretty effectively established that she's a natural redhead since there've been flashbacks to her youth where she's had red hair (other more knowledgeable Black Widow fans, feel free to correct me).

Non-powered I would argue that Mary Jane is the no. 1 redhead of the Marvel universe.
As for people with powers, I would say Jean is the most prominant with the most exposure. But my personal bias and personal pick is Medusa. She deserves a mention for the volume of her crimson locks alone. :P

MJ and Jean Grey are the first that come to mind. Medusa is my favorite red head heroine in the Marvel Universe though
