The evil Avengers idea also sounds fun. If the story ideas got used.
Sublime
For those do not understand what Sublime is here is its history and what it aims to do
Sublime came from Space on the same vibranium meteorite that crashed on Earth before the Avengers B.C. were formed on Earth, she slowly began to control Humankind’s path of evolution so he could better control humans.
During this time, he was able to shape certain Proto Humans and both Deviants and Eternals before the Phoenix was on Earth, before she joined the Avengers B.C. the Phoenix fought one of these bodies doing its job of removing such bacteria that caused great damage to the then young Marvel Universe. But Sublime is able to survive and over the years has set up plans to destroy the Mutants and those who are able to destroy him/her/it.
It has caused the various mental breakdowns of Hank Pym; the weakening of Dr Druid and other acts of sabotage attempts to ensure that no one could stop her plans.
It has over the years backed various programs to kill and harm Mutants and to ensure that it can control the major heroes shaping them starting with the Weapon Plus program and the other programs worldwide.
Over time she started to do worse in order to wipe out all mutants setting up Deathcamps like Neverland and changed the Terrigen Mists so it could be lethal to humans.
Now preparing to finally remove the mutants that it cannot ever control and ensure that Humans remain the masters of all Sublime is ready to strike.
Also, Sublime has no family as he is a single-celled prokaryotic organisms, they do not have a male or female version Bacteria reproduce asexually.
Personality
Sublime is one of the most dangerous entities in the world it thinks different to humans, as such it sees itself as superior and that humans are capable of much and humans are the superior beings thus it has controlled many behind the scenes. It is a very twisted being who has warped many.
Powers.
Sublime can control any one and can since she is a bacterium, by dividing his own bacterial substance and transfusing it into any number of individual host forms it can achieve numerous potent effects being a sentient bacterium. With humans it is not picky who it takes over gay, lesbian, bisexual, asexual, the whole list and then some
When controlling a human body, it chose various people who are not going to easily stand out in a crowd unless it needs to do work such as the time it took over Dr. John Sublime to start the program known as the Weapon Plus Project.
Using her powers of manipulation is has changed and warped the minds of men such as Hank Pym driving them insane in make sure that they could not find a way to destroy him she has used science to mess with several hero's
Due to it taking over various human bodies it has left vast mental programming to only hate mutants yes there is some that have helped them but most of the population hates them and is willing to cause genocide.

Mephisto
Mephisto.jpg
Mephisto was one of the first Deviants created by the Celestials from the DNA of Mankind, the instability of his DNA and his continuous mutations made it so that his very identity would change in order to adapt to his environment which in his case was Humanity itself, having eventually been mistaken for the Devil, the being now called Mephisto took on the form and personality of the being he was perceived as all the while unconsciously becoming a very powerful dark sorcerer to keep up the charade. When Prince Wayfinder and his Wanderers arrived from 15,000 years into Humanity's future to create a new life for themselves after the trauma they had endured in their timeline.
Mephisto attempted to conquer them but was driven out of Earth-616 by the power of the Enigma Force, fleeing into an unknown realm that he would later discover was a parasitic organism that would give him unlimited power so long as he fed it souls or other precious aspects of souls like love that comes once in a millennium. Since then, the parasitic dimension has reshaped itself into a hellscape, adding false credence to Mephisto's belief that he is the Devil, completely unaware that he is in reality still being manipulated by the Celestials as part of their ongoing experiments involving Humanity and that once he is no longer of any use to them they will send a cleansing agent in the form of a young red-haired woman with spider-like abilities to destroy him once and for all.

Sorry for the late reply, but this is an interesting thing to talk about. Sandman works well as a Spidey villain, but not an FF villain. Trapster really doesn't seem to be in the FF's league, he should fight a street-level villain and fight either Spidey or Daredevil on a regular basis, also he needs an actual motive for being a villain unless he is supposed to be comic relief and nothing else. There was actually a prose short story from the 90s that tried to make Trapster into a human being with feelings and problems rather than a one-note gimmick bad guy who exists to get punched by superheroes.

Also, Wizard is a real drag on the Frightful Four, his ego greatly outstrips his abilities. He needs to ditch the grudge against Reed Richards, it doesn't work, it's not interesting and it holds him back as a character. He would far more dangerous as a general threat to the public rather than a personal threat to the FF. Also, his character could use some expansion, that mental breakdown story went nowhere.
But yeah, Doom being in charge of the Frightful Four would make them thousand times more dangerous, he would likely pick some real powerhouses to deal with the FF. I know Doom is usually so arrogant that he has problems working with others, but it would interesting to see him try to prove himself a better leader than Reed.
Scion is meant to be the Kang who is willing to use other being's secrets and hero's that have been brainwashed by others. So, if Kang needed help, he turns to B-List Hero's that are able to be A-List hero's and he and the others (Nathaniel Richards, Rama-Tut, Immortus, Scarlet Centurion) offer their help to them one such hero that is chosen is Avril Kincaid and she is free from the body swap with Wendell Vaughn and so on.
Thinking about this again... and remembered that Mandarin actually can't use the rings at full power. He seemingly doesn't understand how the Makluans meant for the powers to work together, and just can't get them to play together nicely and uses them in a way that makes them individually less powerful. so a team of 10 each with a single ring.. would actually be collectively more dangerous.
Thanks! I always thought the idea of Mephisto being the actual Devil was kind of dumb, especially when the One Below All already existed in canon prior to his actual first appearance. Plus, him learning that he was just a pawn of the Celestials all along would be sweet revenge for everything he's done.

Sounds good to me.
Funny enough, Kieron Gillen's Iron Man run tried something like this later on, with each ring going to a different individual, although by that point, the rings were hardcoded with the Mandarin's hatred for Iron Man and so turned their bearers against him as well.
You're welcome, though technically, The One Below All is based more on the Zoroastrian concept of an "equal and opposite" to God, whereas Mephisto patterns himself after the Devil, who is more of a jumped-up fallen angel. That said, even in Marvel continuity, the actual Devil hasn't been seen in a very long time, assuming such even exists, thus Mephisto and the others who've claimed that role are just pretenders playing (or preying) on mortal fears and assumptions to make themselves seem more important and powerful than they truly are.
