Congratulations, Ravin' Ray! And thanks for the vote as well!

As for your cover icctrombone, it fit your chosen theme perfectly. But there is no rule (and I think should be no rule) about not discussing the individual covers posted, as long as it is done with respect to the creators and the poster. Part of the fun with this contest is learning more about comics history and art, and that requires talk.

That said, at least I avoid voting for covers that I judge to contain racist stereotypes, excessive male gaze, or similar stuff. I won't say such covers should not be posted here or disqualified from being entered (see learning more about comics history and art, which includes learning to recognise problematic stuff), but I think they have a harder time winning.

    New contest is up!
I also want to add that when I saw the Frank Cho cover I knew it fit "The Lady Vanishes" better than mine but thought I'd just let things play out. Course it's not my favorite pose for Sue, but hey it didn't cross a line. We're all cool here.

LOL! Do not mess around in that forum.

On the other hand this would go over fine there. LOL!
Okay, maybe that image isn't acceptable any longer?

Congratulations to Ravin' Ray for a marvelous cover which shows off our favorite heroine. Well, kinda, after all, she is invisible. It is a travesty that the covers used actually weren't part of the 650+ actual Fantastic Four issues.

As to the important issue which is what the captain has learned this week. Hitchcock is a genius, but he and all of us knew that already. The big thing is our tendency to play well together. I love the way we can discuss rules and explore concerns without being walking anuses about it. The captain has learned restraint in keeping "you know, that's not right..." and usually only speaks up to defend the use of a stretch of applicability. And his bad (read "wicked funny") jokes.

LOL did the lady actually vanish!
    LOL! WTF?
I had no problem with icctrombone's image, thought the whole thing was pretty hysterical.
I'm surprised if they removed it! (as well as my original Bart Dr. Cheeks image, which was my whole point for commenting on it)

At least Seismic's great rear window image survived the purge.

    And congratulations Ravin' Ray!

I wasn't aware that another Invisible Woman cover had been posted as I just skimmed past the other entries. But Part of the rules state that no negative comments are supposed to be said about someones choice, only not to vote for it. It felt like the tone of the conversation was negative towards my cover as compared to the other cover. And I usually delete my covers after the contest is over. Congrats to Ravin Ray, nice cover and you deserved the win.

    Congratulations, Ravin' Ray

Just wanted to add all the entries were great and showed a lot of creative thinking to find a cover to homage the title or plot of a Hitchcock movie! I wish I had found one for another favorite of mine,"Marnie".

    Congrats Ray

And thank you for the votes Ajax and Java

Would love to see a Part 2 of this theme at some point down the road--there are so many possibilities!
