So, there is a teaser out now, for this....totally unnecessary series?

Don't really know if I feel like "necessity" is a make or break issue when it comes to this. Seems like it is laid out the way the companion Fargo series was.
Hmm, the trailer does nothing for me, personally. But if it gets good reviews I'll check it out. Or if subsequent trailers manage to peak my interest.
I take the meaning to be that if you've been happily eating ice-cream, and when you're done with that you've got a whole other tub in the freezer, should you want more. Then someone comes up to you and offers even more ice-cream - you don't want it. You're already eating ice-cream, and you have more ice-cream put away for later, too much would just make you sick - you don't want anymore ice-cream.
The market is somewhat saturated. But that doesn't account for different flavors of ice-cream.
Does the show take place after the movies? Is it all new heroes?

This Post Contains No Artificial Intelligence. It Contains No Human Intelligence Either.
They do appear to be doubling down on claiming it to be a "re-imagining" rather than an "adaptation." But this isn't even recognizable, granted the teaser was more of a stylistic showcase than indicative of the plot. It's weird, wasn't interested before and I'm not interested now.
Continuity, even in a "shared" comics universe is often insignificant if not largely detrimental to the quality of a comic.
Immortal X-Men - Once & Future- X-Cellent - X-Men: Red
Nobody cares about what you don't like, they barely care about what you do like.
Basically, some may feel the show to be "unecessary" because numerous similar shows already exist, hence more of the same can seem redundant. But subtle differences in character, plot, and theme (and so on and so forth), will in fact be a point of difference between the shows - therefore how redundant a show is to you depends on your tastes, and whether subtle differences are enough of a difference. Your mileage may vary.
Eh. I'm fine with the move.
