As Ishtar's power-level continued to spike, and as the others bought her the time against Marshub, and Baric ... she could only think on that realization that had forced her seek out Parsley, some hours before. How the parallels between herself and the Doctor were plain for all to see ... a life of suffering serving as a catalyst for the suffering they would inflict. To say nothing of the similarities between Teshub, Marduk, and herself; and now ... here she was.
Prepared to do what she had done with Nergal, and with her Alternate Self's simulacrum. Both monsters in their own right ... and yet ...
I am too ...
Before this could become her soul focus however, a sudden ripple of energy caused the walls and floor in the room she was standing in to begin melting away, so with a nod to no one in particular; she readied herself. It was almost ready, then.
Ah ... Too late to lament, now ...
Bracing herself, she leapt forward, and as she vanished in a flash of darkling light she
transformed with a simple:
"
Hakai."
Ishtar appeared in a flash, the area around her igniting in a hellish flare of energy that immediately began melting her surroundings to slag.
"Move ..." Her voice rang out to the others, above the din of combat.
"... or die."
It was the only warning the others would get.
Positioned so that the beam would strike both Marshub -- pinned as he was by Zaofan, and Parsley -- and Baric -- distracted as he was by Nevalinna, and Luop -- the Oni braced herself and let loose with everything she had, the beam of energy a mix of Ki and Hakai in equal measure.
"
Death ... from the Demon Gate."
