Hell of a showing for Symbiote Spider-Man. That's not where you'd expect an untold tale mini-series to go under any circumstances.

City at War seems to be doing better than I would have expected. It's just an adaptation of the plot from Insomniac's PS4 game.

Yeah I'm actually really surprised. I know the game was well-received but I didn't expect a comic adaptation to perform so well.

I've read that it had an Artgerm cover, so that might have helped a lot.

Hey, the book has the Venom Symbiote in it and the Symbiote is very popular at present.

Cool that the first issue of Symbiote Spider-Man did so well in the best comic books sold.I wonder if this means more untold tales of Spider-Man will be published.Or at least the Complete Alien Saga TPB (Book One),will have a reprint.
Cool that Amazig Spider-Man and the point one issues of the Hunted story arc were in the Top 20.

I don't read Spider-Gwen, but how is her book sales not doing that hot as I would have expected considering she's almost in every piece of Marvel media there? Spider-Verse was successful too and Marvel's been marketing Ghost Spider everywhere.

Books led by women primarily live off of exceptional trade sales. See: Captain Marvel, Squirrel Girl, etc.

I guess it doesn't help that her current book is nothing special. And I don't think the Ghost-Spider name was well thought-out (naming the series Spider-Gwen: Ghost Spider is even worse).

The book has been very generic and has done a poor job of following up on things like Gwen being public with her identity, or being a former jailbird.

I gave the new creative team a go but dropped the book as a result.
