This last issue was pretty important in revealing what the larger arc was about, in a way that still made the earlier issues meaningful.

Yeah, the message is quite humanistic and sincere...people are good, or can be good, deep down inside, and that Spider-Man and Peter Parker is inspiring people, and people are inspiring him, to be better individuals whether it's Dr. Connors, Black Cat, and Mary Jane.
