I realize Keanu Reeves is well-represented in the list, but Speed (1994) needs to be there for sure.

My top 10 action movies: Die Hard with a Vengeance, Rambo First Blood, RoboCop (1987), Death Wish 3, Predator (1987), Escape from New York, Indiana Jones and Raiders of the Lost Ark. 48 Hours, Missing in Action II, & You Only Live Twice.

Arnold is woefully underrepresented on here. True Lies belongs. Other films, like Predator (is it any less/more action sci-fi than Terminator or etc?).

Though I expected this list to be controversial and inadequate. Though I didn't think it'd be this terrible (Kill Bill & Fury Road wouldn’t make it near my list).

And John Wick wouldn't even come close to Top 10 for me. All those films have relatively weak immemorable villains. The Wick movies I think only succeed because we're so desperately starved of classic action films ala the 80s/90s era (the conventions of many of those films).

Lethal Weapon probably makes my list. I'd be super tempted to put Temple of Doom on there. First Blood. Robocop. Speed. I'd never attempt a top 10 though, too difficult really.

Things I love: Batman, Superman, AEW, old films, Lovecraft

Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”

Couldn't agree more. Truly an ignominious oversight (IMHO):

These reviewers need to look outside the bubble.

I've seen all those movies but the two action flicks that top them all:

    The Raid Redemption
    Hard Boiled

Have to take your word for those - I've never heard of either movie.

There isn't even a film from before 1980 on that list.

    (From what I can tell...)

Not sure just how much stock I am ready to put into it.

You need to see both of them.

(and, seriously... See the second "The Raid..." film while you are at it...)

Never mind that Bruce Lee doesn't show up anywhere on that list...

    Past all of that...

You make a list of "Best..." action films, and The Wild Bunch is nowhere on that list?

    Come on with that nonsense.

Exiled is a better film than some of the films on that list.
