Power strain. Thanks to the stupid terrigenocide plot, M-Pox makes it so everytime Roberto uses his powers, it takes a toll on his life. During the No Surrender Avengers arc, he gave it his all to save Earth and left the Avengers knowing he would die soon.

If anything, this is Rosenberg sticking to continuity. It's a payoff, sure, but I wish Beto got something better than a 3-issue mini. At the same time, keeping him alive takes away the weight of his sacrifice. It's hard for me, but I have to accept it.

Karma is useful and the frost giants know how badass Dani is, this is going good so far.

Didn’t the X-Men develop a cure? It makes no sense if that’s the case. Rogue had M-POX and she was cured and is not dying anymore.

They didn't. But some people just swept it under the rug, like Kelly Thompson. Also, Sunspot's case was worse. Rogue just fainted here and there if she sniffed the inhuman fart god. Roberto sacrificed years of his life for just a handful of minutes using his powers. And it's hard to ignore this stuff when he literally sacrificed a part of his life to save the planet and the reason he went back to fight for mutants was that he knew his time was coming. It's just a shame nobody picked him for a team and we're seeing a payoff one year later. At the same time, he dodged Guggenheim, Taylor writing him as a Jean cheerleader and having no place in Blue, so...

I really am holding out hope that Hickman has plans for Sunspot but the reality is Berto is most likely Rosenberg's latest victim.

I hate it when Rosenberg always write her as a 'sidekick' of Dani.

Karma should be powerful enough to stand on her own without asking Dani to finish off the enemy with her psychic arrow.

This also happened in UXM #18 in the fight with Malice.

Rosenberg didn't do his homework again.

More like a 2 issue , Sunspot will only start appearing in issue 2 and then probably dies in issue 3.
