I really think Hickman will deliver Sunspot. As per JDW, he's gonna be in 2 other books.

Oh, absolutely. I don't care if a My Little Pony character grabs the Life Seed from Nate Grey, uses it to bring Beto back after he dies and peaces out. I'd love to see him on Hickman's books. But I'm pretty sure the power strain will kill him.

They didn't. But some people just swept it under the rug, like Kelly Thompson. Also, Sunspot's case was worse. Rogue just fainted here and there if she sniffed the inhuman fart god. Roberto sacrificed years of his life for just a handful of minutes using his powers. And it's hard to ignore this stuff when he literally sacrificed a part of his life to save the planet and the reason he went back to fight for mutants was that he knew his time was coming. It's just a shame nobody picked him for a team and we're seeing a payoff one year later. At the same time, he dodged Guggenheim, Taylor writing him as a Jean cheerleader and having no place in Blue, so...

People still resent Jean on Red.

Alright i still resent Scott and Emma, but at least they did ad things

That Cebulski comment is just the EiC doing his job and not trying to devalue any of his company's recent product, even though he knows it sucks and that's why Hickman will summon Bahamut to destroy it all.

Hickman asked to relaunch to start fresh, so I wouldn't hold my breathe on the last years of x-men mattering a lot for his new run

Considering he had plans for after SW, probably not much after it, except Jean, Charles and Logan being alive.

Starting fresh doesn't mean past important events will be ignored.

Eg. return of Prof X, Jean, Cyclops, Wolvie and deaths of some recent members like Rahne, Chamber, Guido.

Or are you saying that the first four should remain dead?

It just means that all the existing titles and writers will be cancelled and he will take over the rein.
