Eh, smart money is on the Mouse buying Amazon, but still Bezos godhood either way.

Maybe Alexa will get an option to talk in a Minnie Mouse voice.

    Odd.

Wasn't it reported that Disney is billions in the hole starting their Disney plus streaming service to compete with Netflix? Now they by out Hulu?

    Why?

They got majority stock control with the Fox merger and just made a deal with Comcast to officially run Hulu and the actual buyout won't be for 5 years. I think since the merger was announced it was assumed this would happen and Hulu would be home for Disney's R rated material just surprised Comcast made it so easy given their previous bad blood.

    Thanks for the info.

That's crazy stupid money. Does Disney really need all that?

Need? No. But they're like every other major corporation - greedy and on the path to corporate world domination.

Why make some of the money when you can have all the money?

    Short answer: YES.

When it comes to money, the more you have, the more you want, and it’s clear Disney wants to be the alpha dog in the streaming game.

Smart move by Comcast, they are getting billions for something they had no control over. ComcastNBCUniversal is also starting their own streaming service next year.

Damn, I was halfway through an article on this and I was acquired by Disney.
Continuity, even in a "shared" comics universe is often insignificant if not largely detrimental to the quality of a comic.

Comcast only controlled 30% of Hulu honestly. They were in a spot because they failed at getting Fox and that other 30% of Hulu. They had to make this deal basically since they admitted they were gonna start their own streaming network (way behind CBS and everyone else). Disney will now control 3 streaming networks (its clear they steer Hulu already in a sense since they have a 60% stake) so they pretty much know where content is going.

Well, if Disney+ does not run well, they have the backbone of a stronger streaming service to break and use as they see fit.

Well, I for one welcome our Disney Overlords and pledge my loyalty with their conquering efforts. Sing our anthem with me:

It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
    It's a small, small world.
