Default BEST "Voice of Reason" characters?

Voice of reason characters are almost always ignored. Here's some of my faves :

Mammy - Gone with the wind

Peter Boyle in Taxi Driver - advises Travis Bickle to be more outgoing and sociable...

Mum from At Close Range (1986) : is no longer fooled by the charms of psycho dad Christopher Walken. Ordering him to get out of her home the minute she sees him again.

    and YOU?

    Alfred the Butler

    Tyrion Lannister

Adrian Balboa (her role as "voice of reason" is seen as bad as it is good, since Rocky is meant to do the "unreasonable thing" and take a chance - so even though the voice of reason is frequently the moral compass, it's not so in these movies - Adrian always comes around to his morality by suspending "reason.")

I think Danie's wife from Cobra Kai is one of the best "voice of reason" characters in recent memory. Sometimes it seems like she's the only adult on the show that's moved on from the 80's.

    (wow, thanks for the replies!)

Lisa Simpson in any Simpsons episode

Then there's the "tyranny of reasonable voices" the first Rocky has those, saying that he'll never be anybody, that he can't do it etc. (other examples?)

Sam Axe in Burn Notice, if only because when he says 'Don't do that', he's willing to stick his neck out for the more dangerous but moral plan.
