I'm a huge Kyle fan. I've loved him as Green Lantern, Ion, and the White Lantern. Wasn't a fan of the art on his Ion series, though. And I'm also not a fan of the concept and cast of New Guardians. I keep hoping Kyle will get his own solo series again and return to NYC. It's also a shame two of his exes (Jade and Donna Troy) don't exist in the New 52, yet Alex is still fridged.

He's an average, ordinary guy while simultaneously the best and brightest (and most powerful) Green Lantern. He's more than earned his role. He deserves to be more special and more powerful than Hal, Guy and John. That's the least DC can do for Kyle and his fans after bringing back Hal.

Kyle as the everyman works because that immense power has to be balanced by a very human heart. Jordan has been nailing this entire run... though it's too bad about the crossovers.

Agreed. That is the only good thing I have to say about Jordan's run, which has otherwise been deplorable (can't stand the "New Guardians" or Carol or the focus on cosmic adventures). Plus, Hal cannot be trusted with absolute power.

Agreed. And I think Kyle Rayner is one of the few plus points of the 90's.

Great character but will always play second fiddle to HJ. There is no way that Hal's run has been 'deplorable'. Blimey.

Most legacy characters will play second fiddle to their original classic counterparts unfortunately.
