He's lost more fights than he's won since the Chuck Austen period. lol Fights are determined by popularity. I remember when Wolverine outright said Creed was stronger than him.

But look where we are now. lol

    * Back in the 80's, he easily defeated Rogue. Got his ass kicked by her in AXIS.
    * In the 90's he wailed on Omega Red so hard the latter retreated. Got his Ass kicked by OR in Weapon X.
    * Deadpool noted he wouldn't be able to take Creed with the Adamantium back in 2002. Been kicking Creed's ass since 2003 of 2004.
    * Wolverine stays kicking his ass nowadays. Along with Daken & X-23..
    * Almost killed Mystique twice back in the 90s'. Gets slung around by his foot by her in recent years. In addition to being her sprung sidekick.

It's as if being a depth-less sociopath ain't what it used to be.

Imo, and most of his fans, he was doing well the 80's - 2002. And he did have depth. It may not have been unique & non-fans probably didn't care about it, but it existed. He was shown to care for people. Shown to have hobbies. Shown to have an inferiority complex. Have buddies he hung with. He had different sides to him just like Mystique & Daken do, who are equally sociopathic.. But sadly since 2003, he's been bland & a huge pu**y on tip of it. Which is why I loved the inversion. That was different & gave him more shine & respect than he was getting as a villain. Until Pak's Weapon X. lol

So given the state of him as a villain the last 14 years, him defeating Rahne is monumental given all his jobbing. Now if only we could see him maiming Mystique more rather than being subservient to her.

I hate how it seems like this story will be used to explain why Rahne didn't fight back and is essentially being blamed for killing herself. Lackluster use of Sunspot and a weak reunion with no real explanation of why he didn't bother showing up in Uncanny until now. Rosenberg really did just bring him back to kill him off didn't he. Even if this is all reversed by the conclusion of Uncanny, this is just bad writing.

As bad as a jobber he is, he's had more character arcs and depth than Rahne, she's practically wallpaper now.

Lol, not even close. Rahne has been written by PAD.

    PAD?
    10char

And? Claremont has written Sabretooth, he's even coming back to write a Wolverine and Sabretooth story, don't see PAD doing anything like that for Rahne.
When was the last time a story revolved around her, oh i know, she was stripped from her wallpaper status and killed off for a political statement, just an interchangable foil that was part of a bigger picture.
But she's a damsel in distress now, so that's technically a 1up for her.

To inform you, Creed has been a villain, hero, crimelord, had kids, a sidekick and is the nemesis of one of the most important Marvel heroes.

What does Rahne have under her belt?

KYost making Rahne eat her own father
    vs.
PAD putting Rahne through hell with the traumatic birth of her child, who she later abandoned, found and watched him get killed by one of her teammates
    vs.
Rosenberg uncerimoniously killing off Rahne to create manpain

    Fight

    1. Woah, woah, wooooah. Hold on a sec. Has Team-Not-at-the-Stadium seriously spent all this time chasing Frost Giants for sport rather than making sure civilians could actually make it to a safe location in one piece? I totally get that Escort missions are the suck, but this is insane. What the effffin' effff, lol.
    2. "I'm afraid of dying for no reason." Good grief, that's basically the whole point of being a hero/villai... Bah, I just can't with the brat, lol. I'll just pretend it was meant as foreshadowing for Chamber's death.
    3. "I was in Jersey when the city was attacked" LMAO at Roberto's sorry (actual) excuse for a comeback.
    4. The Magik-getting-captured-off-panel thingy. I remember the team wondering where she was in the last few pages of the first issue, but seriously?
    5. Sabretooth better murder the crap out of Romeo and what's-his-name-wolf-kid.

    Anyway. It was alright.

    >Great art.
    >The 'mutie stuff' line made me laugh and cringe. Oh, humans. So stupid.
    >Madrox is not funny. Pity that's what his character has defaulted to now.
    >Seeing Hope torn in half was gratifying even though I knew she wouldn't stay dead.
    >So this is where Chamber developed his love for burning bad guys alive with psionic energy.
    >How exactly did they lose track of Rahne during the fight with Sabretooth? And why is Sabretooth working for Bad Wolf God?
    >Well, now we know why Rahne was so willing to die. Her dead lover is one thing... but her dead son? Damn. Something bad happens next issue. Pity this story couldn't have been told before her death.
    >Magik? Captured? Off panel? *sigh*

    Favourite panels...

If intentionally done, this is some sick foreshadowing of how Rahne dies.
    ux1.jpg

I squeed. Plus the colouring made this panel look Jerome Opena-ish, and that's a great compliment.
    ux2.jpg

ZARK! How many frost giants were taken out via headshots this issue and this miniseries? It must be the easiest way... or the writer has a thing for cranial trauma. Or both.
