Now Boba Fett is getting his own show?

I don't see this happening. Unless Disney is in nostalgia overdrive. We already have the Mandalorian. Don't get me wrong, I would welcome it if it was true.

The only issue with this is that there is no source. This sort of thing pops up very couple of months and as interesting as it is, with no source you can't trust it. Sure I'd love to see a Boba Fett TV show, but without any source or production team corroborating it the article is likely just made to generate clicks.

And even if true that Disney is looking to bring Boba Fett to television (or in this case streaming), it would probably be in the early stages and there is nothing to suggest it might go on the back burner for any number of reasons. Disney is putting out so much for a reason. They know people want to watch content, they don't know what to produce just yet so they're pumping out anything they can produce. It doesn't mean it will always get made.

Definitely seems like click bate to me, especially the first link as all it does is source the other dubious claim from we got this covered.

Boba is a "less is more" kind of character (imo), so I don't think I'd ever want a Boba Fett show, even if the Mandalorian wasn't happening.

Now, if they want to give us a another Star Wars Underworld-type show, that maybe goes down a different path than the Mandalorian, then I could get behind that.

I could maybe see Boba Fett showing up in the Mandolorian more than I could see them doing a whole show about him.

Pretty sure that Mandalorian is set on Tatooine, so that could be a possibility. Maybe one of the story arcs will be a "search for Boba". Especially since it's been confirmed that other Bounty Hunters from the films will show up.


Speaking of, I think in the Disney canon Boba's Mandalorian ties are pretty much non-existent apart from the armor. While the old canon had Jango be a Mandalorian, and even have some of his fellow commandos teach the Clone Troopers (and also Boba) Mandalorian traditions, I think "Clone Wars" implied that Jango was just a guy wearing the same type of armor.

That idea goes back to the ESB era original canon where sources (the ESB novel and Bantha Tracks) always stated that Fett wore the armor of warriors that fought the Jedi in the Clone Wars and not that he was one of them.
