MCU Versus: Ronan the Accuser (no power stone) VS Dr. Strange (no time stone)

How can Strange even kill Ronan? He mostly uses those whips to tie up people and only used a fire sword against Thanos for a few seconds (while Thanos was fighting Drax, 2VS 1)

He could transmute him into butterflies for one. Dump him into the mirror realm. Eat him with BFR tentacles like he did to those troops in endgame. Smash him around with river blocking TK. Spam copies of himself and trap Ronan in snares before cutting him in half with a portal.

If he could easily transmute Ronan to butterflies, why didn't he do the same against Cull and Ebony?

Because then there wouldn't be any rising stakes in the movie. That's Plot-Induced Stupidity (PIS)

PIS mostly. If he can turn what appears to be a singularity into butterflies, some meat and bone shouldnt be hard.

He probably would have whooped Cull. Maw was a good match for him mostly because Maw can beat him to the punch. As Strange was throwing out fancy gang signs and getting his spells ready Maw would tangle him up in stuff. Just a good stylistic fight for Maw. I hesitate to say he was blitzing the guy.... more like could disrupt him with lower effort gestures and what not before Strange got fancy.

There's a chance Ronan could blitz Dr. Strange with his hammer by blasting him to the floor, which could give Ronan time to close the distance and smash the sorcerer into bits of lasagna.

It's the Accuser's only chance. Otherwise, Strange destroys him through a myriad of ways.

Strange's defensive options are quite fast. He blocks the initial blast 10/10 imo and then does something nasty
