Which direction would you go in for Injustice 3?

Terra I can see. The Bat characters will need to take the place of other Bat characters (ie Mr Freeze replaces Scarecrow...etc). I think Batwoman will get in as DLC thanks to the show.



Yeah I think IJ3 will have a lot of returning characters from 1 and 2. With a few popular new names thrown in the mix (ie Mera, Constantine, Beast Boy). I could see Stargirl and one or two Doom Patrol members getting in (thanks to the show).

Anyway I also hope BB, FS and SG return. Starfire too.

I dont need Scarecrow or Mr. Freeze

Bane and Killer Croc have BOTH a fighting Background...and would be more a physical threat than Mr Freeze or Scarecrow...

I think Mera is probably the most likely bet after the success of Aquaman and because of how popular she is. Ocean Master might be a skin for Aquaman.

Wouldn't be surprised if we finally get Beast Boy in there to close out the Titans in the Injustice universe.

Also for synergy with the TV shows and movies I could see them bringing back Shazam and introducing characters from the Doom Patrol as well as Stargirl. Maybe Huntress for BoP?

Batman Ending

The Regime are captured and imprisoned in the Phantom Zone. Batman is forming and training a new set of heroes. New villains arise as a result. Straight forward JL game where the villain/villains are trying to free the regime.

Blackest Night

Much like the comic, dead heroes come back from the dead and wreak havoc on the living. 3 sides, Insurgency, a freed Regime, and the Black Lanterns in an all out war. Great way to include dead characters (ie Shazam, Joker, Nightwing, Booster Gold...etc) as playable.

Crisis on Infinite Earths

Injustice has always teased multiple realities (hell Black Canary is from a different Earth) and the first game featured the OG Justice League. This would be like the comic and feature multiple realities. Could be a good way to reintroduce the good Wonder Woman, Superman...etc and include dead heroes dopplegangers.

Flashpoint

Sort of teased in Flash's ending as him and a bunch of speedsters traveled through timelines/realities. Like the comic Barry would go back in time, only difference is he'd try to stop D-Day in Metropolis from happening, instead of his mother's death. Could be a good way to include dead characters and good versions of the Regime.

Superman Ending

The Regime win and brainwash Batman to their cause. The game would focus on them hunting down the last of the Insurgency members (ie Blue Beetle, Firestorm, Starfire, Green Arrow...etc). The Legion of Superheroes could be introduced since they were teased.

Which storyline would you like to see Injustice 3 follow and what would your roster look like going by the storyline you chose? Ill post mine in a bit.

Actually addressing the elephant in the room regarding where the heroes are now.

The most disappointing thing to me about Injustice 2 was that it treated its world like an afterthought in favor of Braniac. Batman is now top cop and Superman was a dictator. With Batman developing Brother Eye and having his own prison for the Regime members (which includes his own son), how does the world get along with that? The world of Injustice had a point; how many times is Batman going to let the Joker live to murder, maim, or nuke another city? The problem was that Superman went way too far. What is the balance here if there is any and what does the lay-person feel about Batman or Superman's regime?

Just brushing it aside for Bruce to just be doing better is dodging the question and the more interesting narrative than pulling them together and then having to remind ourselves that they hate each other at the end.

I love Scarecrow and thought his addition was weird but he was an awesome fighter. Great range, strong combos and an awesome super move. I wouldn't mind seeing him come back.
