The whole with Wally is a total tragedy.

I just hope that somehow everything is retconned.

DC has really gone of their way to mess up his character.

She had the Codename for a while between X-Men vol 2 36 to perhaps Morrison’s Run.......didn’t start using the Green and Gold Costume when she still had her normal powers.....

that's the original thinking, yes. since the OP called jean "phoenix", it was assumed he means when jean is joined with the PF and thus, WAAAAAAAY stronger than the titans.
