I'm really not sure? I seem to recall from some interview or another that Jubes is supposed to have a showdown with Moneta in the next issue, so I expected that she survived that encounter. But then, Leah also mentioned that Moneta's ultimate purpose in this event is fulfilled in another book, so it would also make sense for her to be the corpse. If Moneta hadn't been mindwiped last issue, I'd say it fit her MO to be arrogant enough to take on Poccy's cell by herself and get killed for it, but it would be odd to go through the drama of having her go through reconditioning just to die off-panel. I guess we'll see next issue.

This was a solid issue, They hit all the right notes except wrath. If Northstar had good I am going to mess up Nate speech I would rate it higher.
I read the "I suggest we riot" as cold understatement, but I'm not sure the expression sells it. And yeah - the boys at least getting some property damage in would have been nice, but I think "some X-Tremists just want to watch the world burn" will cover that one.

Sorry I am reading it later but I want to be spoiled lol
Jubes got her mind back in order first (we don't know how yet) and clued JP, Bobby, and Rictor in on the specifics of stolen memories. The "presque vu" comes up a couple of times in the book; essentially, JP's distance and general touchiness seems have come from his struggle to remember where the hole in his life comes from, but he just couldn't put his finger on what he'd lost. Jubilee gives him the nudge that brings it all back.

I think this is a drawback of Leah's chosen story structure. The single POV issues make for good character exploration, but because these events are overlapping, it means the readers are getting clued in on some events after they've already affected the narrative. I won't be surprised if Jubilee's issue starts with "four hours ago", then the story beats you described.

Seconded. We've finally gotten Bobby past his 90's "I'm afraid to fulfill my potential" stage. It's Jubilee's turn.

    Yes.

I wonder if there will be some explanation why they are remembering everything at the same time

Not quite what I was expecting, but I liked it. The scene with the boys drinking and commiserating on the roof was great. The art through the series has been inconsistent, but with this issue it felt like it was also not really carrying its weight in telling the story. So much more could have been done with the imagery.

I liked most of the issue but the end was out of no where and undeserved. Please keep this subpar writer off the xbooks moving forward.

Yeah, I thought so too, but then I imagined it with Land's art, with everyone wearing porn smiles, and I thought "Nope! This is great! LALALALALALA!!"

This. The end of the issue was everybody randomly going "omg I remember everything, let's burn it all", Jubilee just appearing out of nowhere after being wallpaper for the last 3 issues.

Strong disagree. Land would have upped the creep factor 100%, something this book needed after the hype and then poor execution.
