I noticed in issue 10 that they featured the moments with Laurie on Mars and Adrian before Manhattan left the Watchmen universe which IIRC were recalled in dialogue in DC Rebirth and The Button. There must be a reason those two moments are important but I can't put my finger on.
Have Grid return from the dead and shoot him. JK. But it'd be nice if they did that, as revenge for Manhattan taking out one of my favorite characters in the DCU.

Parental care is way exhausting. Gained insight into what my parents went through when I was a baby. Not fun, but what ya gonna do? (Read comics, obviously.)
He'll end up depowered and human again, but in charge of a comic book company where he can create/destroy/manipulate universes at his whim.
He'll change his mind after being proven about the hope that embodies these heroes.
That's what I think fit with the intent of Rebirth.
Maybe Dr. Manhattan will travel back (or sideways?) in time and become the original Monarch?
Manhattan will become yet another version of the hand Krona saw
