The agreement also provides Disney with the opportunity to reunite the X-MEN with the Marvel family under one roof and create richer, more complex worlds of inter-related characters and stories that audiences have shown they love. It only makes sense for Marvel to be supervised by one entity. There shouldn't be two Marvels.
Consider how deep Marvel has fucked the X-Men over that WOLVERINE appearing in a phone game has people cheering that the X-Men are back in business.
It does most likely mean that mutants will start being included on new games from now on. FF most probably got them because of Netmarble buying Kabam(that had their rights for Contest of Champions), so this is pretty much the first time there's an X-Men on the roster of a new game since 2015.
indeed wiccan thank you for bringing this to attention. although for my own interest I have seen marvel steadily pick up fantastic four sales on digital and marvel 2-in-1 is one of the company's best titles right now.
my sincere hope is our brothers and sisters on the ff side feel the grip loosen on those characters as well.
Exactly. They villianized him in the worst way and then just killed him off heartlessly and painfully. Cyclops has always been a bit of a dick but is NOT a murderer, no matter the influence. He's better than that and always has been. The X-Men have been written so poorly since CompleX really took off. The best writing I've seen recently is Kelly Thompson's stuff with R&G. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come.
The thing I don't understand is why there are any people at all on the X-boards that actively defend the reasons for or pretend the CompleX isn't real. Like, if you're an X-fan surely you've noted one of the many under-handed things going on in the last few years.
