I considered Flash Force but it gave me a very 90s vibe. The Flash Unit sounds more tactical and militaristic, more like a name a young person would make up to show they're "super serious".

For a short time Bart was able to create "speed force clones" of himself. One died and Bart felt it happen and never did it again but as far as I know he still has the ability.

He also has the ability to retain information he gains at super speed, which is something the others can't do. Bart can read a library within a few seconds and still remember it all afterwards, while everyone else has the information fade rather quickly.

If you wanted to give him a new talent, perhaps he could have visions of the future by peeking through the speed force.

Would you be open to non-power related talents? Bart could be a highly skilled computer programmer, given his origin, time period, and hobbies. He could be the Flash who re-programs Killg%re into a butler, instead of punching him.

As an aside, I always thought Wallace would do well training as a field medic.

I like the speedread retention but I feel it'll be one of those slippery slopes abilities where you either can pull any solution out of their ass or be disappointed they didn't pull every solution out their ass. I think the speed clones would be a simpler concept and better fit for this because the idea behind the signature abilities is I want to make them all look unique when they're fighting; so I can avoid everyone just sorta running around like most Flash family team ups.

non-power related talents are more than fine. I mean, I gave Wallace some martial arts from Deathstroke and an emphasis on his mechanical expertise. Bart as a talented programmer would be an awesome compliment to Wallace's mechanical engineering. maybe him, Wallace, and Irey could all work together and build tech for the rest team's various adventures. Wallace's signature (speedforce imbuement) was intended to be used with any object but its primarily intended for vehicles, so maybe their first major invention together will be smart car with some kind of speedforce engine specificially for his imbuement powers. they can use it and joy ride in it in their civilian life then can put it in "Hot Pursuit" mode when Wallace needs to uses it for extra speed in the field as Kid Flash. i'ma call it the Speed Wagon (yes, it's a mf JoJo's reference ).

the field medic thing could work really qell too. he's already sharing speedforce, so maybe a byproduct of the imduement on people is he can share minor speedforce healing to civilians in the field, like an emergency first aid. then he could use his Speed Wagon as an ambulance to evaculate more endangered civilian than his arms can carry. that also gives him added responsibility as the leader because he's not only concerned about his team but he'll have to be more mindful of the civilians that may need his help. I only fear we may be putting too many hats on Wallace, but I think they all work together.

WAIT WHAT! That's AWESOME! Now I gotta read it. I was so excited for Solstice before New 52 ruined her (as far as I'm concerned).

I feel like Bart should be kind of like a monk, taking after the lessons that Max Mercury taught him. Kind of like Wally from CW. The hyperactive Flash learning how to slow himself down.

The Time Trapper shows up and pockets everything Bendis did to Superman in a little ball. No retconed Krypton, no teenage Jon, no Clark and Lois being garbage parents, no 21st century United Planets, no rebooted Legion of Super Heroes. All of it closed off in its own little pocket universe. It would be like Bendis was never there.

That would be amazing. But I feel than the Time trapper is a little burned as Deus Ex Machina on the Legion at this point.

You know, I really would try to give a second chance to Pandora. Yes, I understand what she represents and why several people would wanted her to be permanetly dead or forgoten. But I always felt like she was a scapegoat of everything than went wrong with the New52. As concept, born from greek legendand under a curse, blamed form something than she was a pawn, could had been an interesting narrative to be explored.
Simply, let her be restored after the last multiversal reboot and make her clash against Wonder Woman. The connection is there.

Honestly, if you want to do 'evil Wonder Woman' there is no better candidate than Pandora since their origins mirror each other so well. One was born to bring peace and justice and the other was created to punish humanity for disobeying the Gods.

Also, reading that first post made me chuckle; turns out it did take firing Didio to get Wally West back on track.

Yeah I like Pandora simply as the Greek myth figure that survives to this day and gets involved with Wonder Woman and Shazam since she was the one who unleashed Seven Deadly Sins.

I will not go in the "evil Wonder Woman" trope, but more in a way to make a contrast with Wonder Woman.

Can we include characters that haven't been seen since pre-Flashpoint?

I don't see any objections for that.

Ha! That is very funny. Sadly, DIDio left a folower in the form of Bendis. Until Bendis is gone, I will celebrate.

It is a slippery slope, and it's not surprising that DC ignores this element of Bart. Plus, I don't think it really fits his "in the moment" characterization (feels like a Barry thing to me). The speed clones are problematic too; speedsters already have one of the most powerful abilities in fiction, and to add duplication to that makes any speedster an impossibly powerful being. But I think if it were carefully limited, say no more than two clones at a time, for short durations, it'd be workable. Plus, it's a cool visual while "speed-read retention" is what? Just Bart with a little lightbulb over his head going "Hey I read about a solution to this problem!" and that's not a dynamic visual.

non-power related talents are more than fine.
I love basically everything about this.

the field medic thing could work really qell too. he's already sharing speedforce, so maybe a byproduct of the imduement on people is he can share minor speedforce healing to civilians in the field, like an emergency first aid. then he could use his Speed Wagon as an ambulance to evaculate more endangered civilian than his arms can carry. that also gives him added responsibility as the leader because he's not only concerned about his team but he'll have to be more mindful of the civilians that may need his help. I only fear we may be putting too many hats on Wallace, but I think they all work together.
The only "problem" with Wallace being a field medic is that (far as I know) nothing in his character or history really supports him pursuing the skillset, but for me, we already have Wally firmly established as a mechanic and anything that sets Wallace apart from Wally is something I support. And very few heroes focus on that kind of talent in the field, it's usually about beating up the bad guy, de-activating the bomb, whatever, but rarely is it about helping the civilians.

Even Wallace being able to share speed is something I'm not 100% sold on; Wally was the first to do that and is still the Flash best known for it. Not trying to step on your toes or anything but with Wallace my first concern would always be ensuring he's not repeating Wally's skills, abilities, or history. Gotta make sure Wallace is on his own path and not a bad copy of someone else yknow? Still a damn cool power though.

And your idea *is* putting a lot of hats on Wallace, but I don't think that's a bad thing. As long as each "hat" is supporting the others and they synergize well, nothing will feel out of place and the more skills and talents Wallace has, the more narrative potential he brings. I look at what you're writing here, and I think "This is a kid who could grow beyond sidekick status and become a legit, big deal hero someday; one of his generation's best."
