    Default Giffen’s DOOM PATROL

DC , to their credit, has provided a lot of good DP collections over the years. We have the TV show. I believe they are going to release a collection of Pollack’s run.

I want Keith Giffen’s run collected. I’d take it in either a single volume TPB or hardcover collection.

It was really entertaining. Good character arcs.

    Anyone else support this?

Absolutely! Such a great run. Giffen found a way to connect the whole history of the team. the tv show has taken a lot of influence from his version of Rita.

Matthew Clark absolutely killed it on art!

It also has one of my favorite endings to a comic book series.

I certainly would. However, DC continues to baffle me with the choices it makes of collecting (or not) material.

    Peace

I loved Giffin's Doom Patrol. If memory serves it was one of my favorite titles while it was in print.

I would love to see Alan Tudyk return to the Doom Patrol show next season (or beyond) as Mr. Somebody.

Also, I loved Giffen including his own weirdo creation Ambush Bug on the team.

This was my favorite run after Morrison's.

    I'd buy it.

My preferred format would be Deluxe Hardcover, which means we'll never see it. Barring that, a nice fat tpb would be fine too.

    My initial thought would be--why?

To be blunt: It's one of the worst runs of any series that I have ever read and I think it's existence harms the franchise--I wouldn't want new readers having that be their first exposure to DP.

I actually re-read it again a few years ago wondering if I had been harsh on it, and I don't think I was.

Interesting. I had the exact opposite reaction when I reread it awhile back (3-4 yrs now?). I couldn't get into it back in the day mostly due to McKeever's art; once I got over that, I thought it was a decent thematic successor to Morrison's run. Albeit Morrison is Morrison, so you'll never convince his acolytes that anything not by him is anywhere near as good as anything by him.
