I have a few myself. X-Cutioner Song, Age of Apocalypse, Second Coming. I started out an X-Men fan before anything, but did love Infinity and Secret Wars. For DC, Infinite Crisis

Hickman's Secret Wars is something special in how it instilled a level of fear in us that I have never seen. For once, we didn't know what would happen or how things would end up.

Also, because I don't see it, AXIS. I really loved AXIS and I'm not sure why, but I do.

I was hesitant to mention Infinity Gauntlet for a number of reasons. I remember casually looking through Infinity Gauntlet as a TPB and thinking it was the most amazing thing ever. These were high stakes that involved not only the Marvel heroes, but the very embodiments of key aspects of the universe. Plus, that George Perez art was gorgeous. However, when I bought my own copy, I felt a little deflated mainly because it was a lot of talk. Like Jim Starlin, out there, high concept talk. When you're a young kid, you just want to see the heroes beat each other up, and it was like that during the middle issues of the series. The rest though, eh, just a lot of talk. I was hoping for a grand finale, big battle, but it wasn't to be. Yeah, it was a neat twist towards the end, but you want a big battle to end the series, y'know?

In any case, I still appreciate the series, but it could have been better in some parts.

I liked Secret Invasion. I appreciated that there were some hints as far back as New Avengers #1, and the way it unfolded made me realize the heroes were majorly screwed and didn't even know it. The ending wasn't the greatest. It wasn't bad, though. It just paled in comparison to the lead-up.
Back in the day, I loved the original Secret Wars. I've probably read the whole event a dozen times or more.
