    He always had a way with dialogue tailored to the character (from his pre-1960s Marvel days of scripting funny animal, the teen and gal comics, the horror/twilight zone-like comics, etc.). He made superheroes relatable, angsty, and fun at the same time.

    So IMO he deserves his rep as one of the most important, and certainly influential, people in comics ever.
