Default On a scale of 0 through 10 how would you rate the morality of X-Characters

Inspired by another thread that had discussed which X-Men fit the heroic archetype. I'm thinking that at least in X-Men there is quite a bit of nuance between hero and villain. Assuming 0 is pure sociopathic evil, 5 is for middle of the road anti heroes or an average Joe who is not remarkably nice or a jerk, and 10 is as close to perfect goodness as one can get. Where would you assume X-Characters would fall on that spectrum?

Going by the characters I like or strongly follow:

Laura Kinney: 8/10. About as paragon as someone can be while still occasionally killing. She doesn't want to, wants to move past that.

Nathan Summers: 4/10. Follow's the soldiers mantra: The ends justify the means. Whatever it takes to ensure his people and those under his protection survive.

Emma Frost: 3/10. Very much in the same area of "Ends justify the means", but taken to a degree even in her personal life.

Rachel Grey: 8/10. Heroic, but not without the choice to utterly destroy those who severely hurt her.

Scott Summers: 6/10. For all the talk of HitlerClops being a -100/10, the hate is overblown. He's not a bad person, just someone willing to make hard decisions.

Jean Grey: 8-9/10. Depending heavily on the writer. She can either be merciless to those who attack those who she protects to an extreme degree, or a paragon of absolute moral virtue.

The X-Men in general are 8 when things go well and during extinction events go down to 6.

Morality? According to whom or what?
“True peace is not merely the absence of tension; it is the presence of justice.”
    ~Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

“If I love you, I have to make you conscious of what you don’t see.”
    ~James Baldwin

You're right most of X-men acts heroically except in extinction events. And many of them have been working with villains one time or another in the name of a greater good.

Anyone can win a fight-- When the odds-- are easy-- It's when the going's tough-- When there seems to be no chance-- That's when-- It counts!

Everything's going black-- My head-- Aching! Hold on-- I must hold on--!

Can't stop now! Last chance! Must keep the momentum-- More! Just a little more--!

    Boom-Boom = 7

    I did it!

Storm, the woman who mind-wiped Havok, considered murdering him, and let all the X-men's family and friends think they were dead, is perfect?

I've got sort or an issue with the definition of 'heroism' and 'morality'. I'm not sure they're equatable.
