Rob Allen for the Bill Stout art.
There came a time when the Old Gods died! The Brave died with the Cunning! The Noble perished locked in battle with unleashed Evil! It was the last day for them! An ancient era was passing in fiery holocaust!

There are some great covers dealing with significant topics this week.

    My vote goes to MajorHoy.

Honorable mentions go out to Stony, Ravin' Ray, and Nschornhorst
Pull List: The Black Hammer, Bitch Planet, Copperhead, Hellboy/BPRD, Monstress, Ms. Marvel, Southern Cross

Major Hoy 'cuz of the historical significance of the issue as well as the brilliant use of shadow in the art explaining the problem.

    Honorable Mentions go to"
Javasaurus as One Bad Rat was an underappreciated and little known masterpiece of powerful stroy telling
Seismic-2 for the Lois cover which included the pop culture I am Curious ( ) reference
Ravin' Ray for the haunting Heroes for Hunger cover which only a photographic style like Neil Adams could properly convey.

Trying to narrow down my Honorable Mentions, we'll bestow them upon:
    The Darknight Detective
    Kirby101
(two great Green Lantern covers from the Denny O'Neil / Neal Adams days)
    Güicho
    Kai "the spy"
    seismic-2
    Nschornhorst
CaptCleghorn (I always enjoy some WWII propaganda!)
    WestPhillyPunisher
    Greg Hatcher
(two student protest covers in a row!)
    Ravin' Ray
    Ajax_X
I think a lot of these resonated with me because I grew up in the 1960s/1970s (and still remember those days)!

Now, as quirky as my vote this week may be, I've got to go with foxley's entry:

    Besides, I ain't no fool, I'm a-goin' to school
    And I'm working in a DEE-fense plant

There have been some strange Archie covers over the years.
