Default Comics that "Jumped the shark"?

"Cloned the Spider" is another word I hear for it.

In the latest Walking Dead ####### is killed, somewhat unexpectedly and without as much fanfare as they could have had . Not sure if this book holds my interest as much now.

What other comics jumped the shark/Cloned the spider?

But killing a central character isn't jumping the shark.

It certainly can be. It was a very common reason when there was a jumpedtheshark.com.

I know some would say that the Ultimate Universe as a whole jumped the shark after the Ultimatum event, but personally I think that despite the mess a lot of good came after it.
Continuity, even in a "shared" comics universe is often insignificant if not largely detrimental to the quality of a comic.

I think the X-Books jumped the shark as a whole Post-House of M with the excessive focus on the state of the mutant race and how they need a messiah. In fact, the only good stories that came out of M-Day were ones not focusing on extinction, but a few spikes on a curve does not mean the curve is not declining.

It can be, but I don't think this was. It's a book where main characters die constantly.

If aliens showed up, and were the cause of the outbreak, as was in the original pitch, but never really planned, that would be jumping the shark, to me.

Spiderman - post One More Day.

Due to the fetish that a few power players at Marvel had for the Spiderman that only existed for about 30 issues back in the 60's they undid decades of continuity and de-aged Peter to be as close to being teen Spidey again as they could.

It was a dark period for Spidey that was redeemed somewhat by Slott's fairly good run but its still really hard to look past the carnage of OMD.

That site was kind of dumb. All they did was list a bunch of stuff they didn't personally like. Its a way overused term now, too.

Heroes in Crisis just made a new record in terms of shark jumping.

Heroes in Crisis is a great example of this with Wally West.

yeah, couldn't believe the latest issue. In my mind, ******* *WAS* the Walking Dead book. Maybe if they wrap things up and end with #200....

Or did it jump the shark with Ezekiel's tiger?

Walking Dead jumped the shark LONG before then.
I could even overlook the tiger, but Rick sparing Negan? Bullshit.
To me, everything after the time jump has been a completely different series to what we began with.
