I loved their Cable arc. It was all about Cable's family and fears, it actually explored more about Cable's character, feelings and relationships.

It's Cable, a 90s ultra macho trope; that is why they didn't fit the character

For a reprint? Reorder? Don't know really, but Detective Comics #1000 shipped 45K its second month. DC Universe Rebirth 2nd print was 42K. Those are just two I remembered being big in second months. I am sure there are others.
