Nobody needs them. & no one asked about them.

Stop putting in our mouths all that is not tasty and not popular.

No one is putting anything "in your mouth." You don't like the characters, don't read the books. No one is making you read them.

They shoved all the characters into a team book because they removed them from the main titles due to people complaining. Now people complain about the team book. God forbid fans of these characters want to read about them somewhere.

The Champions book existing isn't stopping any of those other characters from having books. There isn't a cap on how many books Marvel can produce. If Marvel had what they felt was a good idea for any of those characters and felt it would sell, they would produce it.

Is #2 really the case? I feel like most of the connections are just lip service at this point since it feels like DC’s teen heroes barely
interact with thier adult counterparts

Ostensibly they're generally much closer conceptually and storywise but DC's current editorial regime seems to have a thing against sidekicks, especially if they grow up.
