Nicknames for Heroes like Dark Knight....

I would like to ask why they gave up to give Heroes nicknames like Dark Knight...

I have to say that I think its also part of their success, because they dont go only by their Hero-Name, but also by their Nickname...

I for example really liked it, that in WWE they gave Seth Rollins also the Nickname "The Architect" because he planned the events etc.

Thats for example something that I would like for Tim Drake, as kind of Nickname or so...
