This sounds cool. Monster books don't tend to do well, but I'm rooting for this one .

Gotham, though? Guess I'm not surprised .

It's cool to see Orlando picking up on some characters who don't get a lot of love lately, like I, Vampire, Lady Clayface, and even Orca.

(Will Orca and Croc hook up in this? I kind of want to know...).

Karlo has gone into hiding. I don't think they've ever confirmed whether Payne or Hagen have actually existed as far as current continuity (but it's DC, so they probably do if the writers want them to).

Karlo was the original 'Phantom of the Opera' style one, wasn't he?
Would love to see him fighting the JSA or the GA Sandman.

Oh. They get it. If the previous version of monster mash only lasted 8 issues, move it to Gotham ^^

The Gotham horror book starring The Spectre and a bunch of nobodies, Gotham by Midnight, lasted longer than Frankenstein Agent of SHADE

Karlo was the original, non-powered one. Hagan was the Silver Age Clayface that introduced the powerset to the character. Hagan was killed in CoIE and in the ensuing Mudpack story, Karlo was reintroduced and, using Hagan's corpse, obtained the Clayface powers.

There is a buttload of other Clays, of course, but those are the main two.

I know in current DC continuity all the covert ops agencies have been taken out but I hope SHADE returns. Loved the idea of an agency that deals with paranormal activity with Frankenstein as its lead agent. Such a brilliant concept.

Have there been many monster books? I'm unaware of DC's monster book history. I didn't really know DC Frankenstein was a thing.

Whaaat, I'm pumped for this! Always liked Frankenstein since the new 52. And Andrew Bennett as well, this looks like a lot of fun!

I'm thinking more of Marvel. Monsters Unleashed, the new Howling Commandos...

Of all the recent announcement, this one is probably second only to the DCMillenium to me. I'll definitively got my hands on it, just for Orlando as a writer.

I'm looking forward to this one especially since Frankenstein is a particular favorite of mine.

Check out Lion Forge's Catalyst Prime Universe. Its the best damned superhero verse in comics. Diverse characters and interesting stories set in a universe where anyone can be a hero. And company that prides itself on representation both in the comics themselves and in the people behind them.

Oh my goodness gracious! I've been bamboozled!

Morrison revamped Frankenstein as a steampunk super soldier in his Seven Soldiers of Victory series. Highly recommend the whole book.
