I really hope Earth Man is back to being a LoS villain. He was the perfect foil to the Legion’s mission statement. He was an Earth nationalist facing a team trying to show the power of cultural (species) unity and understanding. Earth Man is more relevant now than ever.

As far as the new costumes, Timber Wolf is the last character that should be in an armored costume. He was Wolverine before Wolverine. If anyone should have no sleeves and some chest hair showing, it’s him.

It must be because I don't know the old designs and don't have any attachments to them, but I really like those - save Lightning Lad mullet thingy (I also wonder if the way his costume looks will be linked to Black Lightning, I can't help but see the similarities in their costume and having Jeff inspire someone in the 31st Century would be great). And my favorite is Imra (that's her name right?) or Saturn Girl, I think ?

BTW... I don't think that's a mullet on Lightning Lad.
It extends down and appears positioned behind his neck.
That's his hair in the back.

That type of hairstyle is called a mullet.

You don't know the old designs? That sounds like a cue to post the old designs! Here they are from Superboy 202 and 205. These are the Bronze Age Legion designs by Dave Cockrum. Mike Grell did some minor tweaks like giving Saturn Girl full opera gloves and slenderizing Shadow Lass's belly stripe. He then designed awful costumes for Cosmic Boy, which lasted about 5 years, and Colossal Boy, which was stopped being used once he left art chores.

    Cockrum designs part 2

Of course, he didn't design new costumes for everyone. Cosmic Boy, Mon-El, Matter-Eater Lad, Bouncing Boy, Invisible Kid, Sun Boy, Ultra Boy, Karate Kid, and Brainiac 5 were the original, Silver Age designs. Saturn Girl's bikini costume was designed by a fan, while his Chemical King is really just a tweaking of his original costume.

The next big design changes came from Keith Giffen in the early 1980s.

Interestingly enough, Cockrum DID redesign Karate Kid several issues before the above picture (in Superboy 193), but for some reason, didn't include it. It became Karate Kid's permanent costume a few issues later (in Superboy 209).

Now, let's compare Bronze Age Legion to the Bendis-Sook Legion:

Well, today's picture sure wins on coloring quality, but I don't think any of the new designs is superior.

What's the verdict from everyone else?

Admittedly I got to this a lot as far as legion designs:
