    Agreed. Nobody beats "King" Kirby.

Good memories of his run; I was officially hooked with #49 and it lasted thru #110.
Loved Serpentor's interaction with CC in issue #52.
You were totally ahead of me, Green.

My first G.I. Joe comic was issue #48, with the aftermath of the Zartan/Ripcord switcharoo. Plus: The first comic book appearance of Sgt. Slaughter.

Because I haven't seen too much in reference to DD, I'll chime in with my pick.

This may be a bit controversial given that I know people either love or hate his art style; however, I love Alex Maleev's Daredevil. I feel that is the perfect fit for the gritty, noir world in which Daredevil is known for. The splash page where he draws Matt and Natasha attacking Jigsaw is probably my single favorite page from any issue of Daredevil. And, for what it's worth I really like how he draws Natasha as well.

It’s Salvator Larrocca on Invincible Ironman, Star Wars and now Uncanny -Men. He’s great at drawing technical thing like spaceships, modern interiors etc and has produced the best likeness to the original STar Wars actors.

As much as I love the designs Kirby came up with I think others draw his creations better. Byrnes Doom to me is better than Kirby. Byrne's Doom just has the regal feel to him.

    Great thread!
    Start one for DC?

Neal Adams: Batman, Deadman, Spectre, Muhammad Ali, Superman.
The man restored Batman to his dark knight detective origin, side-stepping the 1960s TV series camp.

That was a tremendous run, and I can easily see why it’s your choice.

But I liked the artwork in the long Frank Miller run (both Frank M’s own and Klaus Janson’s) even more.

I think the lay-outs and the way they conveyed DD’s movements in fights and imaginative way they conveyed DD’s Powers was a high point in super hero comics...not just in Daredevil comics.

I LOVE both covers, but my all-time favorite is this one:

That Wolverine/Cap cover is a classic!

But in terms of G.I. Joe, I'd have to go with Michael Golden

(this isn't the best example, but he had a lot of great ones)

^^^If we're just going with G.I. Joe, then this one would be my choice:

Nobody draws the same variety of women’s faces as George Perez.

Most artists use pretty much the same face for every female super character. But when you look at his Avengers run, every woman has a distinct look.
If ten years of recording The Young and the Restless for my mother have taught me anything, it's that characters in serial dramas are always happily in love...until they're not
