Default Create Your Own Infinity Watch

    EC697581-18DD-4AF0-A537-52F27A3DB63C.jpg

We all know the Infinity Stones will return to be used to rewrite the universe sooner or later, but let’s create our own Infinity Watch. Give me 6 members, which stone they’ll shepherd over, a reason why you chose that person to be a member of the Watch. Try to only use one or two members from the original roster at most.

I like the notion of putting the stones in the hands of people who already have powers or themes along those lines, and, at least in theory, wouldn't be as fussed by them.

Mind - Moondragon (pretty much made for this, her first goal was to defy Thanos!)
Power - Monica Rambeau (she doesn't just use power, she *becomes* power!)
Reality - Wiccan or Scarlet Witch (reality manipulators, represent! Sit down, Proteus, nobody asked you...)
Time - Timeslip or Lacuna (or any of the other time manipulating mutant chicks, like Tempo or Kiden Nixon or that one Bendis created) or, just to be different, Kang!
Space - Hank Pym or Voyager (both manipulate space in different ways, him by size-changing, her by teleporting)
Soul - Daimon Hellstrom (souls are currency, where he comes from...)

As an added bonus, most of these characters would be regarded as dubiously trust-worthy, or totally not up for the task, which would be what would make them narratively perfect for the role, since *everybody* would think someone else could 'do better.'

    The Blue Marvel Family version....

Blue Marvel - Power Stone. Adam is reluctant to use the vast power that he already has, so giving him the responsibility of the Power Stone makes sense. He won't be tempted by absolute power like others would be. And good luck trying to get the stone from him by wit or force. He's smarter than your average bear.

Monica Rambeau - Mind Stone. Sure, Monica has limited Cosmic Awareness, but this exposes her to the intellect of the ages and imbues her with psionic powers, including defenses on par with the most powerful telepaths that ever existed. Good luck, Ewing, trying to use that stupid "Thanos has latent psionic powers" ploy again the next time Monica goes to fry his ass from the inside out!

Kevin Brashear - Reality Stone. No, he doesn't need it as the nigh-all powerful guardian of the Neutral Zone. And almost no one knows about the NZ, let alone Kevin. The stone is in good hands for safekeeping.

The Infinaut - Space Stone. Like the Beyonders, the Infinaut's native dimension exists outside of the omniverse. It's a great place for safekeeping, but it also allows the Infinaut to explore our multiverse.

Adrienne Brashear - Time Stone. Given time, Adrienne would have completed the first Iso-8 Cosmic Cube before the government (represented by Carol Danvers, no less) prevented her scientific breakthrough. Now she has all of the time in the world. Rejecting the notion that all Cosmic Cubes are inherently evil, Adrienne creates the Grand Benefactor, a benign cosmic cube that has learned via Adrienne and the Time Stone of sentient life's long struggle between good and evil. Siding with the light, the new Iso-8 Cube bolsters the Infinity Watch in their mission to create a force for good throughout the multiverse.

Anti-Man - Soul Stone. Adam's contingency plan. Sure, Anti-Man is supposed to be dead, but whenever Adam thought he was dead before, Conner Sims has always manifested again in the Neutral Zone. I'm betting that's the case now. And since Galactus cured him of his crazy, he's the perfect person to hold onto the Vampyric stone. Cross him at your peril. And you don't ever have to worry about him thinking that there are "good people on both sides." He knows better.
