Generally speaking, most versions of Knuckles should out perform Hank.

Knuckles makes a habit of lifting and tossing huge boulders, smashing thick metal or stone to pieces and so on.

I know Hank is a decent brick, but Knuckles (the versions I know) tend to outperform.

well archie comics knux was actually a good bit smarter than his other incarnations. still a bit gullible but not rock stupid. especially when his people return and his parents, teammate, and girlfriend was around.

in terms of combat speed, they are more or less equal. travel speed? sonic normally has the leg up in that area.

yup. he still got tricked on occasion but that was mostly due to him being alone most of his life and not having much of an idea on who to trust. but once he sussed out who to actually trust, he didn't fall into it again.
