X-Men Monday (featuring Jordan D. White) #16 – X-Teams

The focus was on the 6 New Mutants with the Hellions (primarily Hellion) getting supporting roles. The rest of the kids were largely background material

New X-men focused on X-23, Surge, Mercury, Prodigy, Hellion, Rockslide, Dust, Pixie, Elixir, Gentle and Anole. It had a large cast of core characters

Yeah Mercury/Rockslide/Tag were pretty filler at that point.

I think the book would've been more focused if they had even just kept the squads to 5 like originally planned. Icarus was sweet but kind of an unneeded addition to an already full cast.

Wind Dancer, Elixir, Prodigy, Surge, and Dust (swap) vs. Hellion, Wither (swap), Rockslide, Mercury, and Anole would've been perf.

Yea, and it a shame. I want a a big cast of x-babies like in Journey to Magik. In messiah Complex Armor joined the crew and it was almost perfect imo.

I think only Generation X comes close to having as big a cast as the New X-Men. Their main team, though the focus was still on the core, reached 12 people at the same time iirc.

Surge, Prodigy, Hellion, X-23, Mercury, Anole, Rockslide, Dust, Elixir, Pixie, Gentle, and Armor.

Read this hoping for some love or just insight on Generation X members not named Monet, and walked away with the same nothing these guys have gotten for years.

lol Thank you, I was going to make the same mistake. Not that I don’t like Monet, but I figure she’s doing pretty good.

X-Force was MUCH MUCH better than anything Rosenberg has done for the X-line. It was also blessed with better art

X-force was substance-free death porn set to muddy, incomprehensible Crain art.

Odd song to pick as a hint for a new x-team considering it's about heartbreak and letting someone you love go. Then again, that might not be the definition he's intending.
