I actually didn't hate it. I thought the colors were nice, and the story was fine for me. It's a little contrived about telepathy but that's not a deal breaker for me. I am curious about a line from Callahan, he says

"And Mystique? You knew she escaped from my custody with the other X-Men".

Does this mean she was that strange little girl mutant who the X-Men rescued at the beginning of this run?

Why waste a good artist drawing "this"

What exactly was the point of Scott losing an eye again? I mean it doesn't seem to have handicapped him in anyway so I'm just asking WHY?????

Honestly that probably sums up this entire run just "WHY".

It makes it seem like thers change, and will be retconed next issue.

ooo good catch. I was just rereading the run to see if it felt better doing in mostly one sitting and was like, 'Yeah what was the point of her". So it could have been Mystique afterall.

I completely missed the importance of what Callahan said, wow, I guess I need to reread this run a few more times and see what else I missed.

Because Cyclops is one-eyed. It's like poetry!

It's funny because now he has one eye, like a true cyclops!

    • Nasty Boys (Gorgeous George, Ruckus, Hairbag, Ramrod)

These are all people that no one will have a problem not using, especially Hickman.
And Dark Beast. Magik ended him quite radically and I liked it.

Interesting point put across that without Jean, Rachel, or Betsy, the X-Men are susceptible to telepathic tinkering at any point. They weren't mind-controlled technically, but were given heavy suggestions.

Cap: "I don't know any Harry..." I cackled at him. And Dani stepping up to speak while Scott was dumbfounded was nice.

How nice of Logan to gut Marrow then advise Elixir to save her. When he first appeared with Kwannon last issue, I would have bet that "Miss Braddock's sex side" was a goner. Glad she escaped.

P.S. I'm loving Emma in this. "Your head was a disaster before I got there, darling".

The only prisoner they managed to free from the ONE prison aside from the New Mutants and Havok. There were dozens of mutants there and Magik only got her friends out

Anyone would say that if the X-men are five minutes without a telepath and they end up screwed the Avengers should have died decades ago.

One could easily say the Avengers' technology helped protect them. The X-Men have been living in a bar up until recently.

Or this could explain why the Avengers have been a pile of useless for ever.

Though, they have had their share of telepaths over the years such as Doctor Druid and Moondragon.
