Default Indiana Jones 5 and the 1960s/early 70s? speculation

Now, while the first three films that took place in the thirties referenced that era's turmoil and politics quite a bit, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull's first hour in particular really kind of went over the top with "Hey, it's the 1950s": The film literally starts with an Elvis-scored road race, there's cold war, nuclear and UFO paranoia (Although the film's "ancient astronaughts" angle was more of a 1970's fad) "greasers", howdy doody etc.

Crystal Skull took place in the late 50s, so presumably Indy V will take place in the late 60s or early 70s. I'm wondering, will it reflect that era in some way, especially the political and social turmoil of the time? Will Indy watch the moon landing, or will the movie have something about Vietnam, The Beatles, Nixon etc?

I don't think the series has ever really ventured into East Asian religion/mythology filmwise, apart from arguably the opening of Temple of Doom (and those were pretty much just ashes, with no mystical connection that we know of). Perhaps Jones will go to China or Japan?

The late 60's and 70's were a time of hugely increased interest in the paranormal... UFO's, ghosts, cryptozoology, the occult and so forth. The weird and unexplained. They could leverage that, but I hope it's done a whole lot better than Crystal Skull. Hopefully the Indy movies will be reverse of Star Trek and the odd-numbered ones will be the good ones.

It's cool to give Harrison Ford one more adventure as Indy, but after that they should give the part to Chris Pratt and go back to the 30's for a Lovecraftian story.

The farther away they get from the 30's the worst Indy gets. I hate Indy in the 50's so if they go even farther I have no interest. That and the fact that Ford is looking OLD these days and I mean really old.
