(I skipped Storm because I couldn't find a good name for a team of Eight. Excellent Eight? Extraordinary Eight? Exemplary Eight? Yuck. Sounds like an X-team! Essential Eight? Sounds like something for your hair...)
Dude, they're totally for real...
Yellowjacket
Kid Arachnid
Agent Shield

Do you folks have any idea how hard that was? I didn’t want to do a cosmic or über powerful team, no A listers but yet with some connections to the original team. And I wanted it to be (semi) diverse team without mutants. It was nerve wrecking coming up with male PoC characters who have powers but aren’t Cage, Blade, BP or a teenager.
So I came up with a more rough tough version, assembled by Sharon Ventura and led by Moses Magnum.
The original team has been captured by Clan Akkaba to turn them into Horsemen.
Sharon saved Moses Magnum from an attempted kidnapping by the Clan, and recruited the Wizard after that. Knowing that 4 cosmic powered people enhanced with Apocalypse Seeds become unstoppable gods, they set out to free the original F4.
During the investigation, they are joined by a Deathlok unit tracing a signal connected to the Clan Akkaba and the Descendants.
- The Wizard has a small sample of the Carnage symbiote with him which he can use to turn into a controllable Carnage for a limited time.
- Sharon can switch between her human Ms. Marvel body and the more brutish She-Thing form if necessary. Both forms have their advantages and disadvantages.
- Moses Magnum learned that Apocalypse added some additional enhancements to his genes but had them lay dormant. Now Moses is able to use geokinesis for creating constructs.
- thanks to him receiving data streams from the Clan Akkaba and the Descendants, Deathlok can augment his functions and weapons.

(Sorry for the bad quality. Had to do a screenshot on my iPad)
Dazzler
Tigress Shark
Speedball
Mr. Fantastic himself
How about an opposites FF?
Colossus for Reed: rigidity instead of flexibility, and he'd rather be working a farm or painting than throwing himself into intellectual pursuits or exploration
Monica Rambeau for Sue: the ultimate visible woman, who is as effective and resourceful with intangible power as Sue is with force fields
Jack Frost for Johnny: the oldest of the team, with ice powers as a contrast to heat and flame
Cloud for Ben: a cosmically powerful inhuman being whose life was forever changed when they took on the form of an attractive human; becoming a mobile cloud to fight supervillains rather than impervious rock
I think the rules changed over time but back to the original premise, here are a couple more …
Fantastic Omega Four:
Jean Grey (OG 60’s female hero turned powerhouse)
Magneto (he’s been a smarty pants inventor, too)
Iceman (fun-loving elemental)
Legion (been through some stuff emotionally and considered a monster)
Fantastic Inhuman Four, which have some similarities:
Black Bolt (admittedly here to fill out the roster as I’m not sure which other inhumans had series)
Moon Girl (genius + monster with the dinosaur)
Mosaic (invisible)
Ms. Marvel (stretching)
A completely coincidental team of Johnny's exes;
Crystal
Supernova / Frankie Raye
Lyja the Lazerfist
Skye
And, as a bonus, whatever random circumstances throw them together, they somehow get through an entire adventure together without ever commenting on that ex-boyfriend they have in common.
