"We live in a world of cowards. We live in a world full of small minds who are afraid. We are ruled by those who refuse to risk anything of their own. Who guard their over bloated paucities of power with money. With false reasoning. With measured hesitance. With prideful, recalcitrant inaction. With hateful invective. With weapons. The Fantastic Four have occasionally been suggested to follow an elemental theme, with Ben and Johnny obviously representing earth and fire, and Reed and Sue somewhat more squiffily said to represent water and air.
But those are just the traditional western elements. The Chinese elements are earth, water, fire, metal and wood, and the Japanese elements; air, earth, fire, water and 'ku' or void, which can represent space or self/psyche.
So a team representing the elements not currently represented (with both interpretations of void);
Colossus (metal)
Rose Red / Klara Prast (wood)
Singularity (void - empty space)
'Bob' the Uranian (void - mind)
the Covid four they can fight from 6 feet away/
Medusa (would need to wash that hair a lot)
Jean Grey
Sue
Polaris
Firestar
Justice
Cho Hulk
T’challa
Let's try a version of the FF comprised of supporting characters:
*Alicia Masters (it just wouldn't be an FF book without Alicia)
*Stevie Hunter (from the legendary pages of the X-Men)
*Soraya Khorasani (fans of Mighty Avengers will recall her as the team's support liaison for community affairs)
*Foggy Nelson (of Daredevil reknown)
This version of the FF comes together when a wounded Galactus races to the Earth seeking the aid of the Fantastic Four. Unfortunately for the Big G., Reed, Sue, Ben and Johnny are on the other side of the multiverse resolving a crisis all their own. Only Alicia and her friends are around and they weren't planning on tackling much more than lunch when Galactus showed up. With an armada of vicious extraterrestrial warlords armed with "Galactus Killer" weapons fast on his heels, Galan wastes no time in conscripting the four lunchgoers into service, temporarily bestowing each with a fragment of his Power Cosmic. Thus was born perhaps the most offbeat iteration of the Fantastic Four ever. (Wait until you see Foggy's Cosmic Spork!)
Here's my "faux cover" for this foursome...

I always wanted Jarvis and Wong to have a team up.
