If Wonder Woman had a Child should it be male or female?

The natural( I would say lazy) tendency would be for it to be female. But I feel their would be some interesting plot developments that could come out of WW having a male son.

1. What would you call him?
2. How would the Amazons react to a male member of their royal family? Would they allow him on the island?

This topic is brought about by today’s reveal about Aquamsn and Mera, as well as the fact that both Batman and Superman, have in continuity offspring now.

Diana's child should be male, it makes more sense from a storytelling perspective especially when you consider how varied DC's interpretation of the Amazons have been(they range from female utopia to a man hating, warmongering dystopia). If DC decides that Diana should have child, she'll probably have a girl. It would be more marketable.

I agree with you on Damian, but Jon is the opposite of annoying.

I hate Jon worse than I hate Damian, actually. I at least at one time liked Damian, I didn't start actively disliking him until they passed on the Bat-God mantle to him after his resurrection. Jon has always been terrible though. In either case I'd hate either scenario to befall Wonder Woman. There's other relationships and dynamics with worth that need to be built back up and made interesting first anyway after long-time neglect, or just poor writing.

A little boy has some interesting potential. He could be written with a real identity struggle if he's superhuman, but never gets to a point where mama can't take him across her knee. It also has a bit of extra angst built into it as Diana (and even other Amazons) might train him beyond the peak of normal human abilities, but he'll never be allowed to set toe on The Island, and thus never truly belong.

Lyta Trevor deserves her due, first and foremost, but I'm not opposed to another Wonder sibling at some point.

Call me after Damian gets downplayed for a while and we get Helena Wayne, ascendant, again on some Earth.
