There are enough inconsistencies between the films so that each is presented as a different tale of the same character. Yet there is enough continuity there to establish a clear timeline. Just depends on your poison which avenue you choose to follow.

There are no incongruences between the 3 original films.

The FURY ROAD comic book is not canon, even if it's based on some early version(s) of the original "Fury Road" set to see Mel Gibson returning as a 50-and-something years old Max. What you get on-screen is what you must consider "canon".

Miller changed the script in 2006 to accomodate a "new" Max and a brand new vision of his world.

An interesting example is the fact that the War Boys tattooed the days spent since "The Apocalypse" happened. 33 years. In the FURY ROAD universe, apocalypse/WW3 was progressive and required DECADES to fully destroy the world. Not mere years...

Said that, the remnants of the pre-apocalypse world in FURY ROAD are very advanced... Furiosa's bionic arm. Far removed from the pre-apocalypse world of the original Max.
FURY ROAD is set in 2060.
