The Twelve was kind of like Hickman’s Human Machine, but kind of lacking in high-minded pretentiousness and snazzy diagrams. Why are the 90s so popular again?

Thanks for both the info and the updated comparison between the original Twelve and Hickman's version. But, as our esteemed fellow CBR Forum member Shadowcat has stated for themselves, I also already know all about The Twelve since I was there from the very beginning until the story-line in 1999/2000.
I only wanted an explanation for why Franklin Richards wasn't a part of that story-line from 1999/2000. I guess it had something to do with "office politics",
so I'll just drop the issue entirely if I'm upsetting anyone.

Okay, I haven't put 100% into this, but the topic intrigued me and I had a pretty good idea. The story of my 12 would be that Apocalypse was afraid of the 12 coming together because the stars would align in their favor, making them strong enough to defeat him, and to bring about a golden age for mutants and humans.

If they did revisit "The Twelve" I would like it if Rachel showed up as Mother Askani to guide them in their battle with Apocalypse. Since technically Rachel Summers and Tanya Trask more or less spread the rumours of "The Twelve" in the past to warn everyone about what Apocalypse was going to try and do.

It would be nice too if Rachel finds a way to bring younger Tanya back, it would be an interesting story if Rachel tries to restart the Askani Sisterhood in the present day and she retrieves the younger Tanya from the time stream to start over the order.

Just saying if you want to revisit the storyline you should involve the two women who set it in motion in the first place.
